Ingredients:
- Broken Wheat/ Dalia-- 1 Cup
- Onion -- 1 medium sized
- Tomato -- 2
- Green Chilli -- 5
- Garlic -- 1 inch
- Potato -- 1 medium sized (Optional)
- Black gram -- 2 tbsp
- Bengal Gram -- 2 tbsp
- Mustard -- 2 tbsp
- Ground nuts -- 2 tbsp
- Curry Leaves -- few
- Water -- 3 Cups
- Turmeric powder -- a pinch
- Salt -- as per required
- Heat a vessel,fry the dalia till it becomes light reddish.
- Remove dalia from vessel and keep it aside.
- Now pour oil into the vessel,add all the ingredients except water and dalia. Fry them for 2 min.
- Now add water and salt to it. Let water boils. Here check the taste of the water, so that you can add some salt.
- Now slowly pour dalia into the vessel by stirring continuously so that no lumps are formed.
- Let it cook for 2 min on a high flame.
- Now simmer the flame and cook till done.
- Swich off the stove,cover the lid and wait for 5 min.
- Now the upma is done. Serve hot.
